Area Support Manager

Job Introduction

In this fast-paced and varied role as Area Support Manager, you will oversee the catering operations for a number of Primary & Secondary school contracts within your region.   Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will lead our teams in delivering an exceptional food operation, making school mealtimes fun and exciting.

This role is:

  • 40 hours per week
  • 53 weeks per year
  • £30,000 per annum

Role Responsibility

  • Helping to create and deliver captivating sales presentations to potential new clients whilst finding new avenues for business
  • Supporting the Area Manager in new contract mobilisations
  • Ensuring team retention through building strong, positive relationships with internal teams, as well external providers and clients
  • Strive for the highest levels of compliance for Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Create an environment of consistently fantastic customer service to all visitors and diners for an unforgettable experience
  • Exceed company standards by completing regular audits and report findings, alongside KPIs and figures on a monthly basis
  • Providing support, guidance and training opportunities to staff members, identifying any training or development needs

The Ideal Candidate

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for a driven, adaptable person with a warm and welcoming demeanour and a wealth of experience in the hospitality/catering industry. You will provide support and guidance to our on-site teams, motivating them to develop, progress and maintain the highest standards at all times. You will also need:

  • A strong knowledge of food and safety legislation
  • Exceptional customer service skills and emotional intelligence
  • A passion for supporting and training staff, helping them in moving their careers forwards
  • An analytical edge, able to examine data and results, yet thrive off interaction with people
  • Managing and assisting in the mobilisation of new business wins
